About Brenda
Brenda is passionate about providing access to exciting and engaging experiences for young children from diverse language backgrounds. She advocates for parents as their child’s first teacher and includes families in opportunities to learn about their child’s development. Brenda believes learning happens through interactive experiences that build on a learner’s background experiences and stimulate the senses to make connections. Currently, Brenda works with coaches, childcare providers, and families to build their knowledge and skills about the importance of learning opportunities and engagement strategies during the critical years of development, from birth to five years old. Brenda has been a bilingual elementary teacher, a bilingual preschool teacher, a consultant for Math Solutions, and an Early Head Start Education Coordinator.
