About Rusty
Rusty Bresser facilitates math and science professional development for teachers and administrators. He is particularly interested in issues of equity and social justice and helping teachers find ways to support English language learners in math and science. Rusty was a classroom teacher for 20 years, a math and science methods lecturer at UC San Diego Education Studies for 22 years, and a UC San Diego Extension science instructor. Rusty was the recipient of the 2015 Barbara and Paul Saltman Distinguished Teaching Award. He is a frequent contributor to the Math Transformations blog.
